This project explores the architectural evolution of the high-rise residential typology within Miami’s hot–humid coastal climate (ASHRAE 1A).this proposal responds to an environment defined by year-round high humidity, temperatures exceeding 35°C, and intense ocean-driven moisture.
Utilizing climate-based simulation, the tower’s form and envelope were rigorously optimized to reduce
reliance on mechanical conditioning. The design strategy moves away from sealed glass facades, instead prioritizing continuous shading, minimized solar exposure, and the capture of prevailing southeast winds.
